A Kitchen Opened Up
Not just a kitchen remodel, but a kitchen relocation. This client purchased a 1960’s time capsule. A home with good bones. We helped them with a number of projects to bring this gem into the 21st century. We reconfigured their home’s layout to be an open concept with a mudroom and screened in porch. We removed some walls, added the mudroom, french doors and a porch. Voila, a more functional kitchen with an open floor plan that also opens to the lake. The family can spend time together while doing multiple activities and enjoying the lake life.
Screened in Porch & Deck
Part of what makes this kitchen work is the ability to open the french doors and let the outside in. Fresh air, sounds of birds and the lake make meals and doing dishes more of an event.

What’s shown is an in-progress image of the old living room and dining room with the wall between removed. The dining room, in the corner, became the kitchen, pictured above.
